Overlooking the Obvious (3)

Continued from the previous post

He continued trying to make her feel better, except he never knew that he was making it harder for her to make up her mind. "I've never imagined ending up with you. Remember how all those guys would run after you, and chase you in their cars, just trying to get your number? And I'm the one who got lucky, you came to me. Remember how we first met, you told me that I looked like a wasn't a player, and that you want a real relationship, not just for me to be a rebound. You also said that I seemed truthful, and sincere and loyal. And I love everything about you, from your varied laughs to your serious look. What more could I possible ask for?"

"No, please stop, don't say that." And without notice or alarm, her eyes began forming salty teardrops in the corners of her eyes. He immediately stood on his feet and raised his finger to her lips and whispered "hshh", and he didn't allow her to utter another word. He knew that she was scared, because she told him about her past relationships and how they didn't work out, either because she felt they just weren't right, or because the guy ended it indirectly (by either cheating behind her back or just disappearing in thin air without a goodbye).

He got up of the trunk of his car, and held her hand so that she could stand up with him and be held in his embrace. Seconds later, he started to reach for the back pocket of his jeans, while she just stood their in awe and fear, fixing her eyesight on the movement of his hand. He took out a tiny wooden box out of his pocket and held it between his two hands, simultaneously kneeling on one knee and looking up at her, with the full moon in the background making his eyes glimmer from the light. He held up his hands and opened the wooden box that had beautiful carvings on the edge, and inside the box, there was a ring, and her eyes instantaneously opened wider with amazement and disbelief, while he uttered the words she had been fearing to hear the moment she realised that she had accidently fallen in love with him.

"You are all I need, and I want to be with you forever and always. I love you, always have, always will. Will you marry me Mariam Flani?"

She realised that those words he spoke were the same words engraved inside the wooden ring case he held firmly in his hands. It was a beautiful ring, but...

"No, 3ali, stop. Please stop. I can't do this. You deserve to know the truth."

"Baby, what's wrong? Am I going too fast, we can slow down, I can wait, but I don't want to lose you, I can't. You are my everything. If your worried about your heart being broken, trust me I won't break it, I promise. You know I love you, and you love me..." Pause "you do love me, don't you?"

"Yes, yes, ofcourse I do" Pause "But I didn't from the start, it was a setup, you deserve to know the truth."

He stayed quiet, and shook his head up and down, motioning for her to continue.

Overlooking the Obvious (2)

Continued from the previous post

But that's when her subconscious mind began to to take action, affecting her conscious self and her thoughts, and she began to remember the past, things she wished would never have happened, but yet she's grateful, cause the past is what brought her to the present, to live this very moment, and love and be loved.

And that's when the waterworks started working and she couldn't stand the pain and hurt she had inflicted upon herself. And she began to see the worried look in his eyes, she knew that he wasn't the type of guy that knew how to handle these situations.

But he surprised her by saying: "Don't cry baby, nothing in this world is worth one of your precious teardrops to start crawling down your luscious cheeks."

He was surprised at his own sensitivity and emotions and humour around her. But he knew that with her anything was possible, and that he was her man, and in his eyes and heart she deserved everything in this world. He was even more surprised when she began crying more strongly and passionately, and he tried to soothe her by asking:

"Tell me what's wrong, and I'll try to take all the pain away."

She saw his genuine true love by the way he said his words and realised how much she truly loved him, and that's when he began to feel her heart beats quicken and pick up their pace, as if she just ran and was now out of breath. She was about to make the biggest desicision she ever made in a relationship, maybe in her entire life. Her mind started to wonder: Should she tell him or shouldn't she? While her mind was rattling, trying to think of something to say, without pushing him away, he blurted out and said:
"Nothing is going to take you away from me 7abeebti, nothing in this entire world can take you away."

P.S. I know its a short post, bas I won't keep u waiting long, inshallah i'll post tomorrow!

Hope you enjoyed it + more about their worlds' and past coming soon! Not in the next post, bas in the one after it!

Overlooking the Obvious

They could feel each other's passion and love by the movement and beating of their hearts. They both had to admit, feeling each others heartbeat was a powerful feeling. At times just being together and near each other sent a rush of emotions of care, respect, truth, sincerity, honesty, hope, commitment and love. It was at these times that they thought of everything and nothing. It was time that brought them together, and it was only time that could drift them apart.

They say that opposites attract like bees that are drawn to the pollen of flowers. And this analogy described the way they felt about their union.

They could feel each other's intensity of love growing by each day, hour, minute and second they spent together.

It was a beautiful scene sitting in the back trunk of his car together in each others embrace watching the sun set and fade away into the pink clouds just like it was being absorbed and disintegrating forever, just as if it was being torn out of its bright colours. Her, laying her head against his broad, masculine shoulders, claiming her territory. And him just savouring each moment, taking in all he could with each breath, the scent of her curly light brown hair, with each of her golden locks placed neatly on his shoulders. She felt complete. He felt complete. They felt complete. Together.

They could see each other presence, they could smell each others scent, they could taste the moisture in the air, they could feel the warm yet cool vibrant breeze picking up on the winds signal and they could feel each others heartbeat, beating non-stop against the ribcage in their chests.

With each other and by each others side, they could feel the blue past clawing its way to their solitary minds and gradually affecting the present. One word keeps going through each of their minds and souls whenever they're near each other: love.

They could make an equation out of their relationship: Mariam + 3ali = love.

She began thinking that this would be the perfect moment for their first kiss. The perfect mood, the perfect atmosphere, the perfect everything. But that's when her subconscious mind began to take action, affecting her conscious self and her thoughts, and she began to remember the past, things she wished would never have happened, but yet she's grateful, because the past is what brought her to the present, to live this very moment, and love and be loved.

...

Hey everyone !!
I decided to start this blogging/story writing thing cause of two main reasons:
1. Cause I've been inspired by many lovely, talented writers here, and I thought, "why the hell not? lets make a commitment and enjoy my time in the summer! :D"
2. Cause I love to read + write, so I'm gonna try writing 'fictional stories' and I'd really like your feedback (good or bad) and comments on my weaknesses or strengths!

So yeah, I hope u guys enjoy it !!
Thanx :)
